Jason Bloom began working with clay in 1998. He has since been neatly crafting his own unique style of American stoneware in his shop near Julian, PA. Jason focuses on functional wheel-thrown pottery. He often uses subtle decorations which are carved or incised into the clay at a leather hard stage. This, along with firing his pots in a "salt" kiln, enhances the natural beauty local clays he prefers to use.
Jason creates each piece by hand from a variety of stoneware clays and fires the work to over 2200 F to ensure a long-lasting durable finish that is microwave and dishwasher safe.
