Jack Troy is based in nearby Huntingdon, and is known internationally for his wood-fired pottery and expertise. His hand-built kilns include one large enough to walk into if you just stoop a bit. His firings are community events, with many potter friends and associates adding their pots to the hundreds being fired and then helping with the 2-3 day, 24 hour/day firing. Kiln opening day is a much-anticipated event, as wood firing is a bit of a mystical art and you never know exactly what will happen in the kiln.
We typically have a selection of Jack's pots on hand and sometimes feature him in larger special shows. Jack is also an accomplished poet and writer and sometimes participates in our quarterly 4th Friday Poetry Nights.
