July 3-Sept. 1, 2013: Penns Valley Through the Artists' Eyes
Our Plein Air Paint-Out during the Mayfly Festival went so well that we decided to feature the best of this work along with additional pieces by our regularly featured artists as a special celebration of the beauty and unique charm of the Penns Valley area. Our opening reception Friday evening, July 5, will feature three fabulous local singer/songwriters who graced out stage during the Mayfly Festival - Monica Brindle, Walt Whitmer, and Jeremy Tosten. May-June, 2013: Special Show "Wild and Scenic Pennsylvania"
Celebrating the wildlife and wild places of Pennsylvania! See the amazingly detailed work of nationally-recognized wildlife artists Dan Christ, George Lavanish, and Mark Susinno, along with work by Resident Artists Karl Eric Leitzel and Elody Gyekis. Both original paintings and limited-edition prints are on display.
The opening reception is Friday, May 3, from 6:00-9:30 pm, with music by Cory Neidig and Dave Defilippis starting at 7 pm. Delicious ors d'ouevres by Asta Broskley!

The Green Drake offers many levels of involvement for artists and art lovers in a broad range of visual and performance arts. The membership-based Arts Community space and semi-private artist studios on the second floor are already seeing use. Please inquire if you would like information about either.

Make a day of it in Millheim! Come in to see our extensive collection of beautiful handcrafted jewelry from a number of local and regional craftsmen working with sterling silver, semi-precious gems, and handmade glass beads. We also have many other beautiful craft items as well as original paintings, sculpture, and photography.
We now carry a growing collection of CDs by regional musicians and books by regional authors. A recently created "Book Nook and Listening Room" lets you leaf through our books at your leisure and preview our CD's through headphones. You'll be amazed at the talent here in central Pennsylvania.
